LiveSmart BC: Effiency Incentive Program

Homeowners who make energy efficient upgrades to their homes may be eligible for provincial and federal incentives (ecoENERGY Retrofit Program) and PST exemptions through the British Columbia Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources.

A certified energy advisor with the LiveSmart BC: Efficiency Incentive Program will perform an energy assessment of your home and recommend cost-effective options for reducing energy use. Energy efficient improvements must be made within 18 months of the assessment. Eligible improvements include ground source heat pumps. For details phone 1.866.430.8765 or go to Live Smart BC.

NOTE: All components of each Energy Star qualified Air Source Heat Pump system must be referenced by a qualifying AHRI number. This includes new or existing furnaces, indoor and outdoor air handlers and heat pumps.

Federal

ecoENERGY Retrofit Grants and Incentives

Effective March 31, 2010 the ecoENERGY Retrofit - Homes program is no longer accepting bookings for pre-retrofit evaluations. The program will continue to be administered until March 31, 2011. If you have already booked an appointment for a pre-retrofit evaluation, have completed an evaluation or applied for re-entry to the program, you remain eligible to apply for a grant.
